After sadly having the plug pulled onB May 19B NEON NITE LYRES show with
Radio Knives,Killer Abs,and Corolla DeVille at the Kirkland, the NEON NITE
LYRES RESIDENCY continues with two of the bands that were slated for May
19(Knives,and Abs,the latter who have never played a NEON NITE before)B and
twoB groups who like the Killer Abs are new to the NEON NITE scene-the Fashion
FailuresB from Pawtucket,Rhode Island(good pals and musical cohorts of the
Radio Knives and recommended by the sharpest knife,Alan)and The Actions. While
The Actions are new to the NEON NITE roster,their lead singer is not. Artie
Sneiderman has played NEON NITES withB the Belmondos and the Crybabies as well
as burning up the dance floor at many Lyres' shows with his pretty
wife,Patti.(Speaking of another Artie and Patti,it is great to hear Patti is
on the mend after her fall at an area club. And it was cool to see Artie on
the dance floor with new girlfriend, Casey(Art-T & Case- CB ! )Brother
Artie,methinks shes a keeper! I gotta do your May 5 birthday next year. We
just gotta start earlier!)So,it's FASHION FAILURES at 9, KILLER ABS at 10,
RADIO KNIVES at 11, LYRES at 12, and THE ACTIONS at 1. THE BASEMENT is a 2 pm
club. Thanks to Martin Doyle for the gig. And thanks to Randy Ross for GETTING
THE BALL ROLLIN' so to speak and for the always supercool poster.(When Lyres
12 months residency ends,we should do a book and by the by cos the plug got
pulled on our January show and our May show-our March 10 show at Kirkland got
unplugged too but we had the Abbey March 31B -I'd like to continue the
residency a few months past August so we can do a full 12 or so shows. I GOT
NO REASON TO COMPLAIN!!!I'm trying to get THEE HEADKOTEXES for June 16 at the
SKYBARB as well as DJ POKEMONOJEFF for BOB COLBY's BIRTHDAY BASH at the
SKYBAR,Saturday,August 11(With UNNATURAL AXE/MY OWN WORST ENEMY/COROLLA
DEVILLE/FRANK ROWE/LINDA VIENS) and LYRES on Saturday,September 1 at the
Skybar and my premier Cantab NEON NITE,September 15 which will be LISA
CONOLLY'S BIRTHDAY BASH WITH COROLLA DEVILLE PROVIDING A CAKE,A BIRTHDAY
BUFFET,AS WELL AS MUSIC...LINEUP is THE MESS ME UPS/LYRES/RADIO KNIVES/COROLLA

people talking about using certain songs in commercials, last night I saw a
ommercial for I think AmEx or Visa thats used Spinal Tap's 'Gimme Some Money'
