Friday at the Cantab is Box Of Crayons(my friends from NYC)at 12, The Brigands with Billy Borgioli and go-go gals Rockin' Ronnie Royale and yours truly at 11:00),The Black Mosettes,one of their last gigs for about 10 months,sadly-hear what Lyres' Jeff Conolly calls "the GENUIS singer",Rockin' Ronnie Royale at 10),The Come Arounds(9)and from DJ POKEMONOJEFF (8-9 and between bands playing garage greats and rareties).Cover 7 bucks.Saturday,August 18 at the Abbey, Lyres at 10:45 with Box Of Crayons(NYC)at 11:45,Radio Knives at 9:45,and Portland,Maine's Lady Kensington and The Beatlords(9-9:30). Cover 9 bucks. I want to thank everyone who came to celebrate Bob Colby's bash at the Cantab,August 11 including those you performed-Linda Viens, Frank Rowe, Ed "Moose" Savage(and his celebration of iceberg lettuce!!!),Corolla Deville,My Own Worst Enemy,and Jonathan Shahula who rocked the house with a cool set of songs from Glen Campbell, Big Star, Scissor Sisters,and his own fab originals(can't wait to hear him again?. And yes,I do have money for you-Frank(it was also Frank's b'day),Corolla Deville,and MOWE.I had to wait until after 1:30 to get paid. So we'll settle up asap,y'all!)Luv & Smooches,Nancy Neon?
