Suzy Shaw seems to have no problem with Joe,
Patrick has no problem with Joe.

Thanks so much,Joe for bringing Robert Francos to my
Cantab show. There could be no better birthday
present. YOU GOTTA HEART FULL OF SOUL. Warm
Regards(you know!),Nancy Neon
Viglione helped Mission Of Burma when they had few
friends in the scene - they opened for him at the
Saturday night opening of THE CHANNEl, he put them
into PARADISE. he put UNNATURAL AXE, NEIGHBORHOODS,
CITY THRILLS with JOHNNY ANGEL & BARB KITSON into
Paradise. More bands became headliners in Paradise
through Joe's office in the 70s than ANY other outside
company - which is why he booked Cantones,
The Paradise and more clubs than any other musician
in Boston rock history.
You are the one holding a grudge, Count Brockula.
Let it go.
The criticism of Brett's book is legitimate.
Vig's TV show is the only place where an unknown band
can get exposure to tons of TV stations in New England
(as Mission of Burma did) along with people like Linda
Ronstadt, Lou Reed, Curt Schilling (of The Red Sox),
Dennia Lehane, David Koepp (Jurassic Park, Spiderman
scriptwriter). The guy gets A list guests on a weekly
basis - yet still opens his TV station door to unknown
bands.
Mr. Milano has never supported local music as much as
Joe has. Interesting that no one's talking about the
Willie Loco interview -just the usual character
assassination.
Remember, Joe just wondered why Milano ostracized so
many musicians that built the scene - a scene Milano
wasn't even a part of and still doesn't have a clue
about.
There's a lot of people buzzing about what a bad job
Brett did. Nice to know he has 7 supporters.
There's more to life out there than an unfair Bomp
list. Suzy was smart to divorce herself from the
list. Try being supportive. Don't let Brett get away
with being the "Minister of Cool" - Brett won't even
look anyone in the eye. Ask the staff of
The Boston Phoenix the inside nickname for Brett.
Since Joe doesn't work for the Phoenix you can't blame
him...and those are Brett's peers
