[bomp] The Sonics are NOT playing at the Ponderosa Stomp

There's been some loose talk and rumors -- originating, pointedly, from the 
organizers of the Ponderosa Stomp, that The Sonics will be at the show.

The Sonics will NOT be playing at the Ponderosa Stomp in April. Period. The 
Cavestomp!2007 shows -- November 2 and 4, coming up in just a few weeks -- are 
their ONLY dates. Yes, they had been contacted about playing the Ponderosa 
Stomp and were considering doing so. CONSIDERING. 

When they found out that their participation was being advertised, they were 
not happy. Hence they have informed Ponderosa Stomp, today, that they will not 
be playing. If you want to see the most important reunion show in the history 
of garage-rock, there is only one time and place to do so -- and that's 
Cavestomp.

Again, we're truly sorry that we only gave you two months to prepare, save 
up, or whatever you had to do -- but if you didn't believe me before, I'm sure 
you'll believe me now. We simply were not going to announce The Sonics as our 
headliner until they were signed and sealed.  For their sake and for ours.  Or, 
um, something like THIS would've happened.  Ouch.

Now hurry up and get your friggin' tickets already.
