[bomp] Blog Out!!!

Hey Bompers-

I can barely keep up with all the great stuff people are posting on blog
sites these days -- literally thousands of tunes from killer boots, comps,
and rare 7"s -- I friggin love that internet these days. Anyway, I wanted
to share a handful of sites where I've discovered mind blowing garage,
surf/instro, and 50s RnR, and am hoping others might chime in with their
online discoveries as well. For starters:

This guy posts loads of great one-off 7"s and unreleased garage, folk-rock
international RnR stuff -- literally a site you need to check every few
days:

www.garagehangover.com

Also check out this site for loads of great boots, including the entire
Savage Kick and Desperate RnR series:

Also, four volumes of KILLER instros here:

Lately this site focuses on early psych from late 60s/early 70s but worth
checking for garage, folk-rock, and other 60s stuff now and then...

http://lost-in-tyme.blogspot.com/

OK, so let's see some others post up on their fave blog sites for MP3s...

Also, if you're really jonesing for rare garage, there are some generous
(clueless?) folks selling rare garage 7"s on ebay where you can listen to
samples of the singles they're selling, and every once in a while they
(accidentally?) post the entire song... (search under 7"s for "listen" or
"hear it").

Lastly, jangle/folk-rock junkies listen up -- the Nightcrawlers cd comp on
Big Beat is every bit as essential as the Byrds/Beau Brummels and if you're
a real nut for this stuff, Chuck Conlon cut a handful of uncomped post
Nightcrawlers 7"s that are as great as the Nightcrawlers stuff...
