It's not just DJs, but collectors, writers (full-time critics as well as
bloggers) and people who dwell on lists like this. The lure of the obscure
and the sheer thrill of one-upsmanship all feed into this 'nerdy machismo.'
It's fun and educational, but though having far fewer records than this guy,
even I know that at some point a line gets crossed where it becomes more of a
burden than it should.
