When I started the great sort-out of 2007, the first records that went were 
the ones I'd been told were must-haves in my formative years, but didn't 
actually like. Next to go were most of the records that didn't sound as good 
as when I was a teenager, most of the rhythm-based as opposed to song-based 
music, and all the freaky stuff. Although the process is still ongoing, the 
result after a year is a rather streamlined collection that's definitely 
more to my taste now, and lots of better records acquired in trade as well.
