I just moved a weekly gig that'd been going four years
because the DJs involved were tired of constantly
being nagged about the sound by someone with
ultrasensitive hearing who had the worst speaker in
the place contantly pointing at him. Volume wasn't
the real issue--in fact, you could see patrons getting
restless and leaving whenever the music was turned
down, it just felt as if nothing as happening--it was
sound quality, and beween the mismatched turntables
and the substandard PA, it was hardly our fault ...
