You're probably right Mike. There may be a gray area of chronological/stylistic overlap in the bonus tracks, but I really don't know.
And it wouldn't end up making any difference for me, since I'll certainly buy both of 'em.

Yeah, but how else would you have had them do it in this particular case?
Often, when multiple albums by one artist are released with new bonus tracks,
they spread them out more or less evenly, even if -- timeline-wise -- they
don't belong to the album they end up on. But in the case of "Stink", it
sounds
so radically different from any other Replacements record that that just
wouldn't make sense...
