[bomp] Re: Fleshtones
The book is great. I'm a couple hundred pages into it. And now for the
best news of all: they're coming BACK to Texas in June to play a friend's
wedding! We'll be doing Austin and Dallas shows w/ them. (Dallas area
bompers? Heads up!)
That band is beyond great. I've seen them a half dozen times since the
early 90s and they're better now than ever. Our first show w/ them last
Thursday in San Antonio -- I didn't roll back into Austin til 4am. I was
exhausted but when my head hit the pillow my eyes popped open. Who was I
kidding -- there was no way I was gonna just fall asleep after that show!
Friday show was great. The show was outside and toward the end of the
Fleshtones' set it started to rain and no one gave a damn -- they just kept
on rockin. Saturday in Houston was insane -- just nuts -- see:

I can't remember a more fun weekend playing music.
