[bomp] from Domenic Priore: "Riot on Sunset Strip" radio show, Sundays, Luxuriamusic.com

from the desk of Domenic Priore, author of "Riot on Sunset Strip: Rock 'n' Roll's Last Stand in Hollywood"...

(that's the way all press releases should read, like Dick Tracy wrote them...)

That said, just want to send out a reminder that every Sunday, Luxuriamusic.com features my radio show "Riot on Sunset Strip," based on the book listed above. The general theme is bands that broke outta Los Angeles during 1965-1966, plus the groups who came 'n' played here (for the most part) at clubs like The Trip, Pandora's Box, The Galaxy, The Sea Witch, The Hullabaloo, It's Boss, Whisky a Go Go, The Haunted House, Brave New World, Wild Thing, Bido Lito's, Gazzarri's, London Fog, Maverick's Flat, The Californian Club, The 5-4 Ballroom, The Shrine Auditorium, The Big Union Hall, The Little Union Hall, Kennedy Hall, Golden Gate Theater (hey, what's this left turn into East L.A.?), Montebello Ballroom, Paramount Ball Room, Gigi Hall, Rainbow Gardens, El Monte Legion Stadium, Earl Warren Showgrownds (WAIT! That's in Santa Barbara...), Swing Auditorium, The Mystic Eye (uh, oh, San Bernardino), Merlin's Music Box, The Mecca, Anaheim Bowl (o.k., now we're in Orange County, and at a bowling alley, no less), Hollywood Palladium (whew!), The Troubadour, The Ash Grove, Purple Onion, Red Velvet, Peppermint West, Peppermint Stick, Cinnamon Cinder, P.J.'s, The Action, Stratford on Sunset, Santa Monica Civic, Hollywood Bowl and many, many more.
