Rochester news and McFadden's Parachute

Hey!
The Girl Bombs had a great weekend, we headed on down to Rochester for a way 
cool Saturday night show with the Moviees and McFADDEN'S PARACHUTE!  Yeah!
For those you who have read about McFadden's Parachute in Feline Frenzy or 
Misty Lane (can't remember issue numbers), those that haven't should check 
them out...Darren got himself a band together!  Rick Cona on guitar and 
organ, Dave Anderson from the Riviera Playboys on bass and Don something (I 
think he was in the Purple Flashes) on drums.  Darren is singing and banging 
on the tamborine.  It was great!  Really amazing after hearing Darren's 
do-it-all-yourself 4 track stuff for years and years...his original material 
translated incredibly well to a live set!  Anyhow, it looks like this wasn't 
just a one-off deal...I think they have another show in Rochester in a 
couple of weeks, and are looking around at other cities to play.
The Moviees played a great, high powered show.  Lots of covers but lots of 
variety...Dutch, American, British...they have a single out on Living Eye 
Records with a fabulous original called "Come On".  Check it out!
Oh yeah, and we Girl Bombs had a really amazing time!  If you're ever in 
Rochester, make sure you get in to the Bug Jar!  And once in the "gig room", 
look up at the ceiling...it's one of the coolest clubs around!
