I think i haven't been clear enough. What i meant was that most of the 
people making music at that time were oportunist crap makers. You're right 
(don't give a damn to who's right or wrong but...) when you say that the 
lyrics are not the main thing, but the problem is that they've tried to kind 
of translate it in a phonetic way, so it didn't mean anything. The music 
when you listen to Hervé Vilard is shit, most of Sheila is (exept some, i 
know, i know, don't begin to scream !!!).
It's like boys bands those days, a category of producers are trying to make 
money by exploiting the stupidity of the masses. Don't tell me that Sheila 
was conscious of what she was doing, she's so full of shit, such a brainless 
chick, have you heard her speaking recently !
But there has been excellent stuf. Let's talk about Gainsbourg, Bardot, 
Dutronc, Ronnie Bird, Antoine (ennemies !), France Gall, Monty (some 
of)........
I have no problem with frenh yéyé period, i even sometimes listen to Johnny 
Halliday !
Anyway fuck objectivity !
