I don't know about the crowd noises but I do know that most of the backing
vocals aren't Kiss, a fairly well regarded producer/engineer was an assistant on
the mixing sessions for Kiss Alive and ended up being drafted in to mimic Paul
and Gene's backing vocals. He does a great impression apparently, those live
Kiss LP's are so "dialed up" (my favorite bit of studio wank terminology) that
they could probably be sued for false advertising.
