Yeah, I'm very glad to see the Prisoners mentioned here on Bomplist. I was
obsessed with them for many years, and kind of glad that "Shine On Me" was
horrible enough to break my can-do-no-wrong adoration of them. I have a few
friends that did see their last couple of "reunion" shows and said they were
great, but I'm always skeptical of any 'reunion' of a band that was a
magical as they were in their prime. I've seen copies of "Shine On Me" in
the used bins already, and that's where it belongs! I'm wondering who might
reissue their stuff someday; I have the standards as well as a few dubious
'collections' and I would actually welcome a nice re-mastered CD of some of
their choicest tunes from "Taste of Pink" and "Wisermiserdemelza." The only
place I've seen any info about them on the Web is at the Soul-A-Go-Go's
Medway section (www.soul-a-go-go.demon.co.uk) and it hasn't been updated in
a while, so thanks to all those who are posting the latest on JT, GD and
Co.!
