Yes. I think he departed around a year ago or so, from what I can
remember about a conversation I had with him some time ago.
Unfortunately, it doesn't look like the article written by Rex Patton
of the band Cruise-o-matic, which opened for the Sex Pistols when
they played in Atlanta, is archived on Creative Loafing's website, which
is a bit of a shame because it was a great write-up on what it was like
to be in the midst of all the chaos of national media attention and
whatnot. I specifically recall him mentioning that Sid was AWOL for
a while before the show due to the fact that he was somehow able to
persuade somebody to haul him to one of Atlanta's public housing projects
in search of heroin.
