What bands did you follow in the 70s/80s in Tampa?

PREPARE TO ENTER THE GARAGE

A Selection of Garage-Rock Resources on the Internet

Since the Bomp server has been down, work has continued on
assembling some kind of garage-rock resource for the Internet.
Besides my Netscape Bookmark was becoming unmanageable
and I thought it would be fun to share these discoveries with
like minded souls.

At the moment there are about eighty links divided into the
following categories : CLASSIC SOUNDS, THE NOW SOUND,
E-ZINES, RECORD STORES, LIVE, NEWSGROUPS,
RESEARCH and the obligatory MISCELLANEOUS.

Due to the volume of ASCII now sitting on the page I have
stripped away the graphics. Those of you who do not know
the site will miss out on the rather swish Shadows of Knight
poster which used to adorn it. These have been replaced by
colourful if functional HTML code which will now load much
faster. After all the idea is to get folks discovering some rather
good BOMP compatible sites rather than wasting their time
waiting for pictures to appear.

If you know of any site which would fit on the page, or indeed
does not belong there, then please drop me a line. OK where
can I find this marvellous resource? Simply point your browser
towards :

Happy surfing

I've got a copy of Southern Culture on the Skids' first album for sale,
check your books kids because this is no record from the 1990's but rather
their ultra-rare debut album from 1985!!! Yes, it is a self-titled album
that the band released on Lloyd Street Records and it can be yours for the
right price. That means make an offer and we'll deal. The record is in
mint-ish condition (I did play it a handful of times over the last 11 years)
and the sleeve has a bb in one corner if memory serves. Make an offer and
help pay my phone bill.

I remember reading somewheres that Iggy and the Asheton boys were avid
Nazi memorabilia collectors, but it didn't say nothin about their
beliefs. Could just be a case of blitzkrieg bop, who knows?

According to his obituary in the forthcoming issue of Psychotronic Video
Magazine, which I'm proofreading right now, he died of a brain
hemorrhage. I think an obit I read in the NY Times or Variety said a
stroke, but I'd assume the two are about the same thing, medically.
