The crazed Echo cover of "Action Woman" turns up as the surprise track on
the Pebbles 1 CD. I believe it comes from a Swedish radio concert in which
E&TB play nothing but 60's covers.

the mighty Casino el Camino:
after he left the splat cats he formed the Jack Lords (in buffalo), who put an
album out on Skyclad Records. After they broke up he moved to Austin and
played in a couple of bands for awhile. He now owns a bar called - what else
- - casino el camino. we were kind of worried the bar wouldn't make it at
first, but it is literally the most happenin non-band bar in austin now. he
is doing very very well.

anyone on this list would really go for the swanky voodoo digs there. Great
juke box too - you'll hear martin denny then the mc5 then coltrane...
definitely a must see if you're ever in austin.

Casino!!! What's he up to, musically? I was a major fan of his
old group, The Splat Cats. In fact, my 'zine, The Teen Scene, is named
for a song from their debut 7" EP.

Dante also had "Free" by Pearly Gate out at the same time Sugar, Sugar
and Tracy were high on the charts. He also recorded as Bo Cooper,
Dante's Inferno, Ronnie & the Dirtriders, CG Rose, and the Webspinners.
Plus countless demo's as Don Kirshner's main "demo man" - doing
demos of many songs that leter became hits for others. Plus solo
albums and lots of jingles for Dr. Pepper, KFC, etc.

Edison Lighthouse was fronted by Tony Burrows, who also was in
Botherhod of Man, White Plains and the studio band responsible
for one truely awful big hit "Beach Baby", the First Class.

It may or may not exist under the "Exotica" title but does anyone have an
opinion on The Nation of Ulyssess spin off experimental group the MAKEUP? I'm
a huge fan and dig down deep the sounds of Ian Sveonious <lead>.By the way a
late comment about Musicians of color in the Exotica/Obscure scene. I grew up
on alot of obscure musicians of color due to my father's Ace vinyl collection
that I have inherited since his death last month. To be honest I never dug it
at first but over the ages Screamin' Jay and Ike Turner's band <before Tina
came along> are the rare grooves I groove to. WHats funny is as a Black <well
more of a deep Mocha <Smile> female it was odd to hear those sounds coming
from my speakers I honestly have no idea what others expected but Link Wray
was not one of them . As for now alot of the Jazzier Hiphop groups<which i
have learned to appreciate also> De La Soul Tribe Called Quest sample alot of
these sounds we call our own. The way the world turns.... Oh well anyway
WHats up with the Ann Magnusson lounge album???

A bit ago, someone asked or was inquiring into weather John Sebastian
had anything to do with the soundtrack. I happened to ask the same
question to someone who enjoys the LS a bit and posed the question to
him. He was not sure, but did have something to offer:

Thus quoteth Andrew:
No, but _Barbarella_ came out in 1968, by which time John and Zal had
both departed. Joe Butler carried the name on for at least another
year, a handful of singles, and an album - so it wouldn't surprise me
if some of their tunes were at least considered for a soundtrack,
especially since they were one of the first rock bands to do
soundtracks ("What's Up, Tiger Lily", "You're A Big Girl Now").

This isn't anything close to a definitive answer, but it may help
whomever asked the original question.
