Subject: Same Old Song

Hey,

We've got a video of the German "Beat Beat Beat" series from the '60's
that's got 4 songs by The Creation. They do this great song called
"Same Old Song" which we can't find on the albums we have. There are
two different lead singers -- one lead singer (lighter hair, square
glasses) is on one of the videos and the other lead singer (darker hair,
bushy eyebrows) sings this song. We aren't familiar with the name of
the lead singers, but we know that the lead guitarist is Eddie Phillips
and that Ron Wood was once in the band. Our question is, where can we
find this song? Is it an original or a cover?
Thanks, Jen

Absolute agreement. The Shoes just sound watery and contrived
to these ears. Shrill, even. But man-o-manashevitz, the Sex
Clark 5! James Butler is a freak of nature. Those records
have more killer hooks and genius arrangements per inch than
can be believed. They keep a low profile; do they still
exist?
