So after loads of problems my personal homepage is updated:
http://come.to/iggy (or if that one doesn't work:
http://www.flashback.net/~iggy ).

Not that much about music, besides the linkpage.

If anyone finds any problems with links, misspellings or have any good
example what could be better in general, would i be very happy to recieve a
mail about it.

Subject: Marky Magnatone ???

 Hi,
I just saw a trash/garage special on a german music tv, VIVA,
with some quite interesting stuff included. And therefore
I have a couple of questions:
1)
On this show they showed footage from a Memphis live gig featuring
Oblivians,5678's and MArky Magnatone. Mr-MAgnatone was a japanese guy kicking on a bass drum, hammering on guitar and shouting "Lucille" on top of his lugns , in other words it seemed to be a pretty rocking one man band type of a deal. Does anybody
know anything about him: any records available etc?

2) They showed two short clips from a "Sleazefest" video with Hasil Adkins and SCOT, but the bits were so short it was hard to tell whether they were good or not. Are these Sleazefest videos worth tracking down?

thanks

Pekka Laine

I Want Candy - The Strangeloves
Copy Cat - Gary US Bonds
New Orleans - Gary Bonds
Bye Bye Bird - Sonny Boy Williamson (excellent brushwork)
I'm No Good - Five More. Athletic drumming!

Drums, are my bag! Appreciation-wise,

Myndblowing, eh? Well, the book I got the information from has made a lot
of snap judgements. I certainly hope it is myndblowing because Ace
Kefford is just plain cool. Since the book missed the mark on Ace, let me
ask you about the Blossom Toes. D'you know 'em? One place I heard that
their debut album (We Are So Clean) was kinda like Syd's Piper and in the
same book that slammed Ace, it says that they were run of the mill "1967
music." Can you clear this up?

Check out the Chloroform comp. LP on Mangroove (which has a U.S. mail

Alert- 7" (I forget which label it's on...possibly Mangroove).The
Chloroform comp. has great stuff by the above bands plus Registrators and
tons more top notch Japanese bands sounding like the Raw Records (uk)

I totally agree with Eric. Actually this release was initially out
on vinyl way before the CD thing happened. I think some entrepreneur
decided to make some cash and took the vinyl recording and transferred
to digital format. Also from that time period was a double Captain
Beefheart LP with a righteous glossy cover (same glossy finish as
the Birdman LP).

Does anyone know of any decent Beefheart CD bootlegs that exist?

Independent of any specific performance, I just wanted to put out the name of
the drummer at the absolute pinnacle of my personal rock pantheon: Keith Moon.
Not only was he an absolute one-man rhythm section (allowing John Entwhistle to
play supporting melody lines on the bass), Moon was the main free spirit in the
Who. I was just listening to Live at Leeds the other day and I'm still awed by
the huge sound he got from his drums.

I borrowed this from Frank U and was VERY disappointed, very little music
footage, only very brief clips like you saw, lots of filler that was not
all that interesting. I REALLY wanted to see SCOTS live, but there's not
much, same with Flat Duo Jets and everyone. I don't think there's a
single song in its entirety or anything even close. IMO, don't bother.

The more I listen to the good old Who stuff, the more I realize what I
loved about them (esp. Happy Jack LP) was Keith. I remember an Elvin Jones
interview in Life magazine reviewing rock drummers and the only one he
liked was Moon's work on "Underture" I think. It's always puzzled me why
the rest of the band looked down on his musical abilities and contribution
to the group. Never trust a musician's taste!

Space Cossacks gifting us with what will surely be remembered as thee final
word in Atlantics cover tunes -a brilliant reading of their great "Shark

astonishing. And, the Penetrators sides are the tops, too. You can get one if
