It's indeed a mixed bag - while it's very cool to see Simeon basically 
musically teleported from thirty years in the past, the new material just 
doesn't quite have the same bite to it.  Seeing them (will him actually) 
live was a lot like seeing the Television reunion shows a number of years 
back - good to see live, occasionally brilliant, but missing a certain 
urgency/desperation to it that could really send it over the top.

I'll be there.

More psych-pop than garage-stomp, but one Bomp band who will be playing 
Terrastock II are the Green Pajamas, who's latest _Strung Behind The Sun_ 
album has pretty much been on constant rotation here - certainly puts the 
whole Olivia Tremor Control/Apples In Stereo crowd to shame.
