The Smugglers do a fine cover of 'Walking Out On Love".

Are these the same Wheels that are also found on the Kim Fowley "Outlaw
Superman" comp? What's the background on 'em?

When ? & The Mysterians played my city a few months ago, he did an
interview with the local paper and he made a big deal about how
The Mysterians are the ONLY band from the '60s still playing with their
ORIGINAL lineup.

For what it's worth...

For those who care...

Believe it or not, I've finally gotten around to updating my Concert
Calendar. What can I say... I can only do this in my spare time. Lately,
there's way too little of that.

Anyway, I'm now about 3 weeks past the date of the 10th birthday of the
original Concert Calendar. Weird.

I agree! I recently got the CD versions of Vols. 3 & 4. Both are superb,
so I immediately ordered 5 & 6 (which I can't wait to hear.

I was worried about the same thing, but was pleasantly surprised. Mostly
pretty good garage/psych type stuff , with a few loungy, bubblegum or funny
cuts and only a bit of crap.

Subject: Mickey Finn and Kim Fowley

Does anyone out there have any information on a band called Mickey Finn
and The Blue Men, which released three U.K. singles in 1964? The reason I
ask is because one of their songs-- "I Still Want You"-- was published by
Kim Fowley Music, so I'm wondering if perhaps Fowley produced them or
played with them.

Also, are they related to another U.K. band known as simply
The Mickey Finn? (A Shel Talmy-produced group that released 3 singles
between 1965-67.) The book "The Tapestry Of Delights" claims that both
bands are related, but I find that hard to believe because the two bands
have such different styles.

Finally, does anyone know if the T. Rex drummer named Mickey Finn had ties
to either band???

Thanks in advance,

Scott
