Frank Roach is the only other 45 in this series that I know of. Do you =
have any of these? If so would you kindly post some sort of review?=20
=20
By the way, I just picked up the Elmo Williams and Hezekiah Early CD "It =
Takes One to Know One" and it is utterly brilliant. One of the best new =
albums I have heard in a long, long time. Pick it up as soon as you =
can. The only problem is that it is really short - 10 songs, 30 =
minutes. =20

Unfortunately, the new Hasil Adkins was a little disappointing. =20

O.K., so slap me. I play EVERYTHING. The quality of the music I
play on each show is dependent largely on the donations of music from
the artists and labels on the lists I belong to, and partly on how awake I
am at 5am every Saturday morning.
In the 10 months I've been doing "Coffee 'n' Smokes" I've broken many
artists heretofore unheard of or forgotten in the Boston area and/or not played
at any other station in the area, college/community or commercial. No brag,
just fact, so cut me a little slack here. Again, it's help from my fellow BOMP!
/Audities/Rockabilly listers that in part make the show what it is.
No offense taken, B.T.W., at least it's getting me to redouble my
efforts to get new stuff on the show.
Once more with feeling, the snail-mail address:
                                            Coffee 'n' Smokes
                                            c/o WMFO
                                            P.O. Box 65
                                            Medford, MA 02153
Demo cassettes, CDs, and 7"/10"/12" vinyl gladly accepted and donated to
the WMFO archive.
Take care.

question-

I would normally eschew this kind of kollectorskum conversation, but
whatever.

I recently picked up a 45 by the Music Emporium "Namyo Renge Kyo" on
Sentinel records at a garage sale. It's a white label dj pressing,
visually I'd say vg+.

I am familiar with the lp by this band and it's notoriously high price
tag.

However, I have had some difficulty tracking down the value on this 7".
I know, I know, when you deal with this kind of esoteric collector value
is a nebulous term, but is there some book or collector's catalog
someone can point me to? Maybe a website for this kind of thing? None
of the people I wrote to knew about the 7". So I thought I'd toss it
out. anyone have the old Beathaven catalogs or similar collector price
list?

If you're curious, I just don't want to get ripped off when I trade it
for some garage 45s I've been looking for, I would not normally judge a
record based on the price listed in a collector's guide.

Don

Hey Bompers-

I see quite a bit o' talk on organs, but I need some drum info.I just
bought a Gretsch drum kit. I'm just trying to get an approximate date on
it.The paper labels inside the shell have the old Gretsch logo with "That
famous Gretsch Sound" and a serial number. The rims and hardware appear to
be nickel and the little plates around the air holes say "Gretsch drum
makers since 1883" or something close to that.Anyone know much about
drums??

I've got a version of this by the Jelly Roll Kings that's really boring.
Albert King could've done it originally though.

I'm still scanning the paper; slim pickins these days. Nothin' of
interest this week. I'll keep looking and post anything good.
