The first (and only) answer I can think of is the Vacant Lot on Turban
Renewal... unless I'm thinking of the wrong "How Do You Catch A Girl."

Negative Pat, I didn't ever record with Mitch Easter and the Square Root of
Now. That was Dan DeWeese's baby. I still have some of those 45's if you're
interested. By the way, I saw Dan lurking around in the K-Roger the other
day. He lives here in Oxford but I never see him. I'm afraid to think about
what he's been up to. Catch you later

OK. This bounced the first time so I'm trying again.

Hey there - I'm back on the list after a long absence. I'm less than
thrilled to tell you that my home base is Washington, DC. Just a few
short blocks from the Leader of the Free World. There's some good stuff
here, but you have to really dig to find it. (I guess that's always the
way with good stuff, though....)

For instance - I somehow failed to notice that the Donnas and Groovy
Ghoulies played here two nights ago. And I had been in that club twice
last week. Grrr.

But here's a little something happening this weekend:

Just when you thought it was safe!
This Friday (March 6th) The Ubangis will be playing a last minute
"surprise" show at the Velvet Lounge at 915 ‘U' st, NW, in Washingtron
D.C. Opening up at 10:00 p.m. will be N.Y.C.'s The Erotics and girl
group The Blackbaiters (also from N.Y.!). Word has it that these 2 bands
are outta' control so this could be a wild show at the intimate Velvet
Lounge!

Yeah! See you there.

Wow - I was at that show too! With Bob Nastanovich (Pavement) - talk
about someone with a fabulous record collection and vast array of music
influences -and that was back in our freshman year at college! And we
went and ate at Whitlows before the show... Oh nostalgia...

An interesting Sunnyboys story comes courtesy of the
>Hoodoo

>REALLY perked up. Apparently the Sunnyboys were BIG heroes of the
