Yep, and if you're focusing on a specific album, re: Wall Of Sound, here's
a vote for "Psycho Candy" by The Jesus and Mary Chain.

I think this is easily the toughest one yet. All I can add is:

>Johnny Loves Me (Glenda Collins+Suzie)
>
Shelley Fabares, 1962

>Lend me yer comb (Beatles)
>
I looked at a Carl Perkins LP, expecting to verify that he wrote it, and
found that he didn't. It was written by Kay Twomey, Fred Wise and Ben
Weisman. So I don't know who did it first. The notes to Vol 1 of the
Beatles Anthology say: "Although not written by Carl Perkins, his
influential version was issued in December 1956 on the flip-side of single
Glad All Over"

Alex,

Wasn't the J. Geils hit as song called "Love Stinks"? Or did he also do
Love Itis?

This comp is just now starting to surface in the USA. Get Hip is
going to stock it. They should have it soon, but I don't think it
has been available yet.

Did you use a sexy voice when you told them you wore a gorilla suit?
Would certainly get my mind on bananas.

Thanks a ton. Now about that "any Australian record company" where I might
find this fine material... I would appreciate a few recommendations of
places that'll mail order to the U.S.

They appeared in alot the early Rock Rock Rock etc music flicks in the late
50's early 60's. 40-50's Jazz sounds mainly( so probably not to everyone's
taste) with a hip Coasters like improv schtick between the songs. All
original members from the old Vegas shows they did. It was a free gig and they
put on amazing show. Thanks to Mike Lucas if he's out there, for telling us
aobut the show. If anyone goes to Vegas, I highly reccommend looking them up.
