BACHELOR TOM (NUDIE) PRESS BOOK SET
Contains two pieces: 1) BACHELOR TOM PEEPING features 30 young, risqué
starlets! Great pressbook for what the cover claims is Hollywood’s first
major Nudie! Woo! Woo! According to the synopsis, Tom Peeping, a
reporter for Play Around Magazine, is on his way to cover an assignment
when he discovers an out-of-the-way Sun Club (Nudist) for lovely young
ladies located in the country. He tries to gain admittance but discovers
its ladies only but he is not easily dissuaded and attempts to sneak in
dressed as a woman with hilarious results and tons of nudie cuties to
boot! This pressbook is 4 pages but includes several pages of radio ad
copy. There is a page of ad slicks, and the back cover features 7 pics
from the flick, several with nude women. Undated but late 50s, early 60s
vintage, definitely not later! Size of this one is 9" x 12" with a
2-color cover. Condition is good but there is a fold on top eight
corner.
2) BACHELOR TOM AND HIS BIKINI PLAYMATES -- Hoo boy! Unless the movie
company messed up, this appears to be the same nudie film as "Bachelor
Tom Peeping" with a new title since the synopsis are identical!!! Cover
sez: Bachelor Tom is back in this flick which features 50 beautiful,
young starlets! See my previous Bachelor Tom listing for synopsis of
film. Size of this one is 11" x 15-1/2" with a 2-color cover. Very Good

absorbing realistic drama of the world’s oldest calling, it probes
frankly and daringly with pitiless honesty into the lives, the loves,

The Sloths and the Dirty Shames were probably the same band - at least
that's what I heard recently. Both versions of 'Makin' Love' came out on the
Los Angeles 'Impression' label; the Sloths' wilder take was issued first.

Hello, my name is Christopher and I’m from Greece
Recently I found the boot compilation LET’S DIG ‘EM UP.
Unfortunately the album had no insert (I don’t know if it was
meant to have one), so there is only the track listing on the
back. The first thing I noticed is that the sequencing of tracks
on the vinyl is not exactly the same as the one written on the
labels. On the other hand I know it is an international 60s
garage-punk compilation, but nowhere is written from which
country each band is from.
So is there anyone out there that has the record and knows
i) the correct track listing and ii) from which country each
band is?
Thank you in advance

Hello Christoforos,

You bet! I have a decent amount of Seeds stuff on video: 2 songs on American
Bandstand, one song from the movie "Psych-Out", "pushin' Too Hard" on some
obscure 60's TV show )w/ Sky n bass), and quite possibly the coolest of all,
The Seeds playing a garage group called The Warts on the 60's comedy sitcom,
"The Mothers In Law". As for Link, he did "Rawwhide" on Bandstand, but I've
never met anyone who has a copy!

My first Easybeats CD was a 14-track compilation on Raven records called
"The Best Of The Easybeats + Pretty Girl." This was a reissue of a 1967
compilation which contained the most recent single "Pretty Girl." It stops
pretty much at the "Friday On My Mind" era. Of course, this is a pretty
skimpy compilation compared to the great stuff the Easybeats put out.

>The Easybeats are one of my all time favorites. Their best album (certainly
>worth the price of a German import) is Volume 3. This one contains "Sorry",
>and a slew of other great tunes. The double CD box is pretty good as well.

I agree on this (and not just because rmerchandz turned me onto the album).
I found the whole CD for 15 bucks at a record show. I don't know about the
other album reissues, but this one includes among the bonus tracks five
songs from their 1965 Albert Records audition tape. And as for the album
itself, "Sorry," "Funny Feelin'," "Not In Love With You" and "My My My" are
four of the best power-pop tunes ever.

The downside to the Repertoire reissues, besides the price, is that the
liner notes booklet for each album is the same in text. I also noticed this
about their Turtles reissues. Regarding the latter, they're a better deal
than the Sundazed reissues, which are skimpy affairs with two or three
bonus tracks, tops. Each Turtles reissue on Repertoire contains the mono
version as well as the stereo version, plus a couple bonus tracks, apiece.
After the first two records, they are the stereo album versions with
generous bonus tracks including non-album singles and b-sides. Not a bad
deal.

The double CD box referred to is called "The Aussie Beat That Shook The
World," with 56 tracks. Can anyone provide a track listing for this? I've
never been able to find out. I have the Albert compilation "Absolute
Anthology" which has 43 tracks spanning the whole Easybeats career. How
does the Repertoire set differ? Any unreleased tracks?
