"Nip" can be a derogatory term for the Japanese, it is also an abbreviation for "nipple" (my favorite kind of nip). Because of its debatably clever usage here, I don't think we can consider it racist, especially since we can assume the people who put out the comp must have held the musicians contained therein in high esteem, and those that buy it can consider themselves among the few westerners to be buying music coming from (or having came from in this case) Japan. I've enjoyed the few cuts I've heard from this comp. Of course I'm not ashamed to admit owning both Nip Drivers lps. This 80s punk band derived their name from a song about Japanese arriving fresh off the plane in LA , obtaining vehicles, and terrorizing the roadways.
