I prefer to CD because it has more tracks.

I assume Bill F mailorder (sorry I can't remember the address now)

Speaking of which, did I read something (maybe from this list) about Malcolm

If true, and if anyone knows what his platform is/was, please share. Rick

There was a Saturday morning television cartoon in the US called The Super
Six, which was about a group of six superheroes and was on from 1966-69.
However, you may be talking about The Impossibles, which was a group of
three superheroes who were also a rock band. It was part of the show
Frankenstein Jr. and the Impossibles, which was on 1966-68.

Hot air? Yes (he can talk up a blue streak, no question)... no
substance? Couldn't disagree with you more.

You mean slide from the low it's at under the guidance of PROFESSIONAL

If you believe THAT, then you have missed his point from day one.

Yeah, I've got it. It's called "Maximum Freakbeat". It
is pretty good stuff, tho' I had some of the stuff on
other comps...Some of my favorite songs on it are
"Searching In The Wilderness" by Allen Pounds Get
Rich, "Come On Back" by Paul & Ritchie and The Cryan
Shames, It's got one of my very favorite songs-"Save
My Soul" by Wimple Winch (if you've never heard this,
you gotta hear it! This song was also on the Chocolate
Soup for Diabetics comps.). There is some comp
overlap, though, so if you've got...Aw hell, here's a
track listing:
Elois-I'm a man
Red Squares-You can be my baby
Truth-Hey gyp
Lee Kings-On My Way
Paul & Ritchie & The Cryan Shames-Come on back
Wimple Winch-Save my soul
Southern Sound-I don't wanna go
Missing Links-You're driving me insane (how'd an
Australian group get on a Brit Freakbeat comp?)
Mark 4-I'm Leaving
Wheels-Roadblock
Syndicats-Crawdaddy Simone
Game-Its shocking what they call me
Mascots-I want to live
Troggs-Lost girl
Fairies-Get yourself home
Mark 4-Going down fast
Motions-Everything thats mine
Thor's Hammer-I don't care (from Iceland, i think. On
a couple of the "Diggin for Gold" comps)
Allen Pounds Get rich-Searching in the wilderness
Primitives-Johnny No (at first I thought that this
might be a cover of "East Side Story", but it's not,
this group is singing in Italian)
Rickets-Action Painting
That's it. Gotta finish my damn politics paper now.

I can't be the only person on this who thinks Jon Spencer Blues Explosion is one

Or am I? Jarkko, back me up on this one.

PS. Fat Possum IS great!! I like some of the RL-remixes too. And I'm nuts about
Beck. Now excuse, I have to duck and cover.

well, it's indeed a rather nice one, but it deceived me when I got it,
because there was too much classic R&B stuff on that one... not what I was
looking for on that comp.

>little bootleg action, then look no further than "Maximum R'n'B"

yep, and it's maybe the best ( and first ) true freakbeat comp I've ever
heard. you only get mid-60s UK demented trashy stuff on that one, and most
trax are really good. The ultimate freakbeat comp has still to see the
light, but "Maximum Freakbeat" helps waiting for it. Biggest drawback:
expensive CD comp. Mail me if you want a CD copy, I'll do it as soon as I'll
have enough time for that (do you still want also a Clique copy, from the
Dig The Fuzz lp ?)
