If anyone have any info about the band Annaabee-Nox other
than the crappy non-existent info in the booklet of
the "Searchin For Shakes"-series, please let me know.

I hear THAT! I think I heard some of the same rumours. I'll be sure to harass
Bobby for all the Gruesome details when the Kingpins play here next month.

Rumours be damned! I have it from a reliable source
that they will be playing in Toronto on March 4th. So
they are playing again. Also, I spoke the Bobby in
December and he said that they were playing out again,
but he didn't give me any specifics i.e. how many
dates, etc. So they may be a possibility for
Cavestomp.

the good news is that the electric prunes are back together---the bad news
is that they only do "mass in E minor" (or was it F?)...

Thanks for the tip on The MW, I'll look into it. The Gruesomes, ah yes, that
Montreal band who graced the cover of Tim Gassen's 'Knights Of Fuzz', the
essential and comprehensive rogues gallery glossary of garage bands. And who
also took obvious and tremendous pride in their fabulous tresses...well
that's good enough for me right there, so why the heck not? (As The Vipers,
we had occassion to share a bill or two with them, and they were
Hanna-Barbara caveteens come to life, and kicked ass! No joke.) So let's
bring 'em in 'eh? Any leads on them are also appreciated.

Subject: Questions: Bert Berns, The Exciters, Booker T, Garnett Mimms, Long Tall Sally, Ted Wright, Are You Ready?

I was very impressed with the response I got to my question about covers of Them songs. So I'd like to put some more questions to the list. Some of them may not be within the normal subjets of the list. Anyway ...

1. Does anybody know about two tracks, which Them were supposed to have played at one time or another. The tracks are, "After It's Too Late" and "All I Want". Anybody know about the origins of those? Covers?

2. Does anybody know in which connection "There She Comes" by The Exciters has been released? The Exciters of "Tell Him" fame.

3. Which records did Bert Berns produce, while he was in England in 1965, apart from Them, The Mad Lads and Lulu?

4. Who wrote and got a hit with "Are You Ready?" about 1970?

5. Who wrote "Groovin'" with Booker T & the MG's, and when was it first released?

6. Who was Johnson, who co-wrote "Long Tall Sally"? And who is Ted Wright, who wrote "I'll Go Crazy" and "Out Of Sight" for James Brown? And are Brown's versions the originals?

7. And finally, does anybody know about a track, Garnett Mimms recorded, which should be a lot like "(It Won't Hurt) Half As Much". Both songs written and produced by Bert Berns.

A lot of questions - and I know, they're not easy. Hope, the list will be able to help me out at least with a couple of them.

Thanks a lot from N. Chr. Junker-Poulsen in a very small country in Europe ...
