do you think the Wilko Johnson CD compares to the live at the DWC

** Honestly Pauly the DWC kicks it's ass! Way more RIGHT THERE. Must be something to do with that sound engineer you have down there.
Same set pretty much tho.
Say hi to the Mr Johnson when ya see him!

I remember when that movie came out there was a lot of controversy over the
violence. In Boston, where I live, there were reports of people being
kidnapped and tortured in the suburbs by wanna be gangs who were reenacting
scenes. I must admit the Baseball Furies looked pretty sharp. That's the gang
I'd want to be in.

 Re: Pirates Japan

While I can easily get into The Pirates CD I just didn't care for the Wilko Johnson one that much.

** Hello? Where's Jereon? I like it but as I said in the post to PJ the DWC one is gonna be better!
C'mon PJ work it out w Wilko. Maybe Vinyl Japan? They did that great Lew Lewis set.

 >Still Pirates and Wilko nuts will want them both. No doubt in my mind.
>Mine came with stickers. What about yours Jeff?

No stickers, but mine came on Sunday! Thought that was pretty weird...

*** Mine came from a friend - it wasn't blagged! ;o) So maybe she scored them for me special like.
Funny thing tho I won't dare to use them. They might get wore out!

>Anyone heard the KWACKER EP Mick did w TMGE? Pretty rockin'
>and MGE almost keep up w Mick.

Didn't get that one (is that also on Trippin' Elephant?), but I did get a stack of TMGE releases, too, a couple dating back to '96. Amazing stuff. That and a GREAT CD by a band called Jighead (Jig "Mojo" Head), also on Trippin' Elephant.

** Well sir I would say the Kwacker EP is the best thing they ever done.
At least I can understand the words.
No offense intended. But straight up!

Brother Ken, you here?

The Long Ryders' records struck me as hit 'n miss affairs, but I'll never forget hearing them play "Masters of War" at the Hollywood Palace when I was a tyke. This was a song I had heard of, but never before heard... and wow! did their version blow the top of my head off! I've always been grateful to Sid & the gang for one of those great rock n roll moments... and they did turn a lot of people on to Gram Parsons via their interviews and Griffin's book, a good thing.

But yeah, I think I'll be OK. I *am* wondering tho' why Mr
Coleman never mentioned this before?. Oh well, if he doesn't feel
like sharing that kinda info with us, I guess there's no reason why I
should tell him that there's somebody on this list why *might* have
a video of an early 80s Fleshtones appearance from Belgium TV....
Besides, you wouldn't be really interested now would you Steve?.

*** Fleshtones? Never heard of them. Been too busy listening to the Gorillas. Sorry Steve, had to get that in man.
