I was attempting, for the first time, to burn audio
from a DVD onto a CD. I lugged my CD burner out to
where the DVD player was, used the same RCA cables
that went into the TV, and plugged them into the
analog inputs on the CD burner. When I previewed the
sound in record mode, there was a substantial buzz
that was nearly as loud as the audio signal on the
DVD. The buzz registered on ther record meters too.
I was using the very same cord Id used to plug into
the TV, so I doubt a faulty cord was the issue.

But wait a sec, you said you plugged the Dvd player into the CD Burner via
analog plugs?
But these are digital inputs not analog (turntable). Does your CD burner
have digitial inputs? It should and I would try using these since the input
(your dvd player=digital wave). By using the analog inputs you would get that
buzzing sound as well. Tony

Aging bass and guitarist songwriters are looking for a lead
guitarist/keyboardist and drummer to explorer new garage/punk venture.
No fats or beards or gimps with metalic flake candy apple Ibanezs,
however socially stunted raging alcholics are most welcome. We are
veterans of the Boston scene and are looking for others to join us for
mayhem and swilling. Nothing too serious, three chords and twelve
                                   pack.

someone recently hipped me to the garage hangover site, where i downloaded
the first cowsills single, "all i really wanta be is me." stunning -- as
great as any obscure jangly garage stuff i've ever heard. original 7" is on
ebay right now for a mere $125 if anyone wants to buy it. anyway, does
anyone know if their other super early stuff is worth seeking out?
